10/27/2020How to Bring CoVid-19 Wastewater Monitoring into the Field

COVID-19 is causing unprecedented challenges for communities around the world. In the United States, safely reopening depends on having widespread, advanced testing methodologies. However, research has shown that testing wastewater sewage for SARS-CoV-2 RNA can provide a seven-day leading indicator of outbreaks, compared to other compiled testing data. Webinar attendees will gain a broad understanding of the current body of research on the efficacy of wastewater monitoring of COVID-19 in addition to best practices in the execution and management of programs. 11/02/2020EPA Webinar: Fall 2020 AWIA Risk Assessment and Emergency Response Plan Workshop Module 1

On October 23, 2018, America's Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) was signed into law. AWIA Section 2013 requires community (drinking) water systems serving more than 3,300 people to develop or update risk and resilience assessments (RRAs) and emergency response plans (ERPs). The law specifies the components that the RRAs and ERPs must address and establishes deadlines by which water systems must certify to EPA completion of the RRA and ERP.
